Will This be Home for the Jazz Gallery?
The Jazz Gallery, on the far west side of lower Manhattan, was one of the places that seemed a throwback to the ’60s and ’70s - humble and exhilarating. It was a second-floor walk up with folding chair and a small stage in a somewhat desolate part of town. But the musicians were cutting edge and the audiences thrived on the music.
