I knew something was up, when my neighbor’s teenage son starting coming home carrying used vinyl jazz records he’d bought. (That day: Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters.) Now the news is spreading: more listeners across the country, and notably, young listeners, are buying music on vinyl –- and the gear to play it.
